Royals Spring Training Recap: March 1

SPRINGDALE, AR -Brett Hayes hit a tiebreaking solo home run in the bottom of the eighth as the Kansas City Royals remained undefeated in Cactus League play with a 3-2 win over the Cincinnati Reds in Surprise. Former Natural John Lamb pitched a scoreless eighth and earned the win. 2011 Natural Salvador Perez went 1 for 3 with a RBI single. The Royals will host the defending World Series champion San Francisco Giants tomorrow in Surprise at 2:05 p.m.
