Team Mascot Auditions

The Hudson Valley Renegades are searching for an enthusiastic individual to take on the character of "Rascal", the Official Team Mascot. Mascot experience is preferred by not a requirement. Descriptions:

• Develop the character of "Rascal" the Hudson Valley Renegades Official Team Mascot
• Perform at all 38 home games at Dutchess Stadium with the potential of additional games based on playoff berth
• Perform and/or provide support to all necessary community and team appearances. This includes but is not limited to sponsors, charitable events, media and private functions
• Responsible for mascot costume operations include care, cleaning, maintenance etc.
• Work directly with the Game Operations, Sales, Community Relations and Public Relations departments to fulfill any promotional needs
• Create goodwill in community

Qualifications:

• Some experience is preferred but not required. This includes prior mascot employment, theatre involvement, and/or gymnastics
• Must be well organized and flexible to meet time, priority and workload demands
• Ability to analyze and interpret common social expressions and clients needs
• Strong communication skills with all levels within the organization
• Ability to troubleshoot situations without delay and act accordingly
• Perform mascot duties in manner deemed acceptable according to the Hudson Valley Renegades standards
• Must be able to lift approximately 50 lbs
• Must be available to work flexible hours including all home games, some nights, and some weekends
• Fan friendly and outgoing individual
• Good physical condition
• Must be able to work in a costume
