Rays announce promotions

VERO BEACH, Fla. - The Vero Beach Devil Rays return to Holman Stadium on Tuesday, July 1 for a three-game series against the Palm Beach Cardinals, and are planning an array of fun events for fans! A B.J. Upton bat set giveaway, and Independence Day Celebration highlight the list.

Tuesday, July 1 the Rays will take on the Cardinals at 7 p.m., on Silver Rays Night with baseball bingo! Wednesday, July 2 the Vero Beach Devil Rays will giveaway a B.J. Upton wiffle bat and ball set to the first 500 fans through the gates. The black wiffle bat is a Louisville Slugger replica, and features Upton's replica signature on the barrel.

Wednesday, July 3 the Devil Rays will host their annual Independence Day Celebration at Holman Stadium! A special National Anthem, complete with Color Guard, will take place, and the game will feature a fireworks extravaganza immediately following the end of the contest. Game time is 6:30 on July 3rd. It is also ALS Awareness Night on July 3, and the Blood Bank will be on site accepting blood donations throughout the evening.

Community outreach is a priority for the Vero Beach Devil Rays, and the organization appreciates all efforts to partner with it to make the Vero Beach community a better place to live and work. The Vero Beach Devil Rays are a minor league baseball club owned and operated by the Los Angeles Dodgers, and affiliated with the Tampa Bay Rays.
