Celebrity Hitting Challenge Adds Kelso, Farinaro of B98.5
LAKWEOOD, NJ - B98.5's Matt Kelso and Tom Farinaro have officially been added to the Celebrity Hitting Challenge, which takes place on June 17th as part of "ClawStar Spectacular" festivities at FirstEnergy Park.
Kelso is a former BlueClaws season ticket holder. His family has opened their doors to 27 different BlueClaws players over the years as part of the team's host family program. Kelso also is a former BlueClaws bat boy and was the bat boy the last time the South Atlantic League All-Star Game was in Lakewood (2002).
Tom Farinaro has a love for baseball as well. He is a former varsity baseball player for Raritan High School, and challenged Kelso this past summer that he could get a hit off the former Minor League Baseball player (he didn't).
On this opportunity, Tom has said, "I refuse to let him beat me twice, I'm going all-in to make sure I don't lose again!"
The Celebrity Hitting Challenge is part of the two-day ClawStar Spectacular, which includes the 2013 South Atlantic League All-Star Game on June 18th. The festivities are presented by Kimball and Community Medical Centers, OceanFirst Bank, and Shore Point Distributing Company.
The Celebrity Hitting Challenge will include two teams of celebs and South Atlantic League All-Stars earning points for hitting a series of targets scattered all over the field.
A VIP on-field option, which includes food and drink, is available for the Celebrity Hitting Challenge as well.
Tickets for both the Hitting Challenge and the All-Star Game are currently on sale by calling 732-901-7000 option 2 or online at BlueClaws.com.
