Knights Extend Partnership With Chick-fil-A®

March 27, 2013

(FORT MILL, S.C.) - The Charlotte Knights, Triple-A affiliate of the Chicago White Sox, and Chick-fil-A have signed a multi-year agreement that includes assets in the final year of Knights Stadium in Fort Mill, as well as BB&T Ballpark. Elements of the deal include branding and signage, along with promotional and sponsorship items.

As part of the agreement, Chick-fil-A will be the presenting sponsor of the Charlotte Knights' Dream Teams. The Dream Teams consist of local little league teams. Before each game, one local team will be able to run out onto the field with the Charlotte Knights.

Beginning in 2014 at the BB&T Ballpark Uptown, Chick-fil-A will be the official sponsor of both foul poles. Each foul pole will be called the Chick-fil-A "Fowl Pole."

"Chick-fil-A has been a strong supporter of the Knights for many years while in Fort Mill," said Charlotte Knights Vice President of Sales, Chris Semmens. "We are excited our partnership will continue with our move to BB&T Ballpark in Uptown Charlotte."

"We are excited to grow and continue our partnership with the Charlotte Knights as they kick off a new chapter in Charlotte baseball with the move to the BB&T Ballpark Uptown," said Katie Martin, Area Marketing Director of the Metro Charlotte Area Chick-fil-A restaurants. "At Chick-fil-A, we are dedicated to serving the community and look forward to the opportunities our partnership holds for us to do so together."

The 2013 Chick-fil-A Dream Team package features two great options. Package A consists of a lower level reserved seat, an all-you-can-eat buffet in our Picnic Pavilion, a souvenir commemorative t-shirt or hat, and the opportunity to go out on the field to stand with the Knights before the first pitch. Adults are $27.50 and children are $21.00 each (ages 3-12).

Package B consists of a lower level reserved seat, $5 Castle Cash good at the team store, stadium concessions, and play zone, a souvenir commemorative t-shirt or hat, and the opportunity to go out on the field to stand with the Knights before the first pitch. Adults and children are $16.00 each.
