WBC announces umpire assignments
The umpires chosen to work the World Baseball Classic represent 11 of the 16 countries competing in the inaugural tournament.
"The umpires selected to work the World Baseball Classic are longtime professionals, three of them were members of our full-time staff and many have extensive experience at the Major League level," said Rob Manfred, Major League Baseball's Executive Vice President for Labor Relations.
