What a Game! Raptors Win 10-9
It looked like the Raptors had given the game away, allowing Idaho Falls to score four runs in the 8th and four runs in the 9th.
Then the Raptors came to the plate.
Ogden scored four runs in the bottom of the 9th to defeat Idaho Falls 10-9 at Lindquist Field in front of more than 6,000 people on Pioneer Day.
Tony Delmonico led off the 9th with a single, then Travis Vetters hit a double. Kyle Russell followed with a two-run double to cut the deficit to one run.
After a wild pitch and a Pedro Baez walk, Steven Caseres drove in Russell to tie the game. Baez advanced on a groundout to set up Brian Ruggiano.
With a full count Ruggiano singled up the middle to drive in the winning run.
The Raptors (15-19) continue the two game series with Idaho Falls (14-21) on Friday night. It is Jimmy Buffett night at the ballpark. The Raptors players will wear Hawaiian-style jerseys.
Ogden hit back-to-back homers in the 1st inning. Vetters hit the first pitch he saw out of the park, after Delmonico had gone deep on the previous pitch.
Delmonico also hit a three-run homer in the 3rd inning.
If you are planning on attending the game, join in the fun and wear a Hawaiian shirt.
