Teacher Appreciation Night

Tampa, Fla. - Join the Tampa Yankees as they host their 2nd annual Teacher Appreciation Night on Saturday, April 13th at Steinbrenner Field when they face off against the Daytona Cubs at 6:00 PM. All educational employees will receive FREE ADMISSION when they show up to the Box Office with their school ID. Family members of educational employees will receive $2 off admission. Gates will open at 5:00 PM, fans can also enjoy postgame fireworks presented by Bright House Networks.

To help honor educators in the Tampa Bay area, players will be wearing limited edition, educational themed jerseys. These jerseys will be auctioned off during the game and the winning bidders will have the opportunity to get their jersey autographed by the player who wore it. All proceeds from the auction will go to benefit SERVE, the official volunteer arm of the School District of Hillsborough County. Their mission is to increase student achievement and enhance the educational experience by providing community volunteers to support Hillsborough County educators. Last year, the Tampa Yankees raised over $2,600 in their inaugural Teacher Appreciation Night for SERVE.

Every Saturday at a Tampa Yankees home game is Friends and Family Night sponsored by Tampa's Lowry Park Zoo. The package includes: 4 reserved tickets, 4 hot dogs, 4 bags of chips, 4 sodas, 4 Tampa Yankees hats, and 2 passes to Tampa's Lowry Park Zoo for only $38. Kids will have the chance to run the bases from 5-5:15pm and players will be signing autographs on the concourse from 5:10-5:30pm. Kids can also enjoy a Bounce House, Face Painter, and other fun activities throughout the night.

Tickets for Teacher Appreciation Night as well as any other Tampa Yankees game can be purchased at the George M. Steinbrenner Field Box Office. Ticket prices are $4 for General Admission and $6 for Reserved Seating.
