Sea Dogs Add Meehan to Front Office Staff

Executive Director of Ticket Sales Brings Eight Years of Minor League Sales Experience to Ballclub

Portland, Maine- The Portland Sea Dogs have hired Dennis Meehan as the teams' Executive Director of Ticket Sales. Meehan began his duties with the Sea Dogs on April 1st. Meehan will lead the Sea Dogs' outgoing ticket sales efforts.

He will also be responsible for booking group outings at the ballpark including sky boxes, picnics, birthday parties, and much more. Meehan replaces Brayton Chase who had served as the teams' Director of Group Sales. Chase has left the organization to pursue other opportunities.

"The Sea Dogs are one of the premier minor league franchises; from the ownership and the staff, the team's community involvement and our fans," said Meehan. "I am excited to join this first class organization where I can utilize my skills and continue to grow with the organization."

Meehan, 35 years-old, has eight years of sales experience in minor league sports. In addition to his minor league sports experience, Meehan has spent the past two years working for the Portland Regional Chamber of Commerce as the Director of Member Services. Meehan began his career as a group sales intern with the Sea Dogs in 2003. Upon completion of his internship he was hired by the New Britain Rock Cats, where he spent four seasons as the teams' Director of Tickets & Corporate Sales. He joined the New Hampshire Fisher Cats organization in 2008 where he served as the Director of Ticket Sales.

In 2009, Meehan returned to his home state of Maine joining the Maine Red Claws staff. As a Senior Account Executive with the Red Claws, Meehan helped the organization sell out their first 48 home games over the course of two seasons.

Meehan graduated from Wheaton College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and History in 2000. The Jefferson, Maine native attended Hall-Dale High School. He now makes his home in York, Maine with his wife Marissa and daughter Hayley.

The Sea Dogs open their 20th season on Thursday, April 4th at 6:00 PM against the Trenton Thunder (Yankees) at Hadlock Field. Tickets are available for all 2013 Sea Dogs' home games. Tickets can be purchased by calling the Sea Dogs Ticket Office at 207-879-9500 or order online at www.seadogs.com.
