Naturals team with NWA Food Bank

August 18, 2008
The Northwest Arkansas Naturals are proud to partner with the NWA Food Bank to feed needy families this summer.

During the first three games of the series with the Springfield Cardinals (August 19th-21st), the NWA Food Bank will be set up outside the main gates collecting monetary and canned food donations.

The first 75 fans to donate two cans of food to the NWA Food Bank will receive a general admission ticket to that evening's game. Those tickets can be upgraded at the ticket window.

"We are thrilled to help our community in any way we can," said Naturals General Manager Eric Edelstein. "We encourage all our fans to help out and bring out canned goods and monetary donations to help the NWA Food Bank."

Every day in NWA there are more than 100,000 people who are hungry. For every one dollar donated to the NWA Food Bank, they can provide people with five meals.

The Northwest Arkansas Naturals are the Double-A Texas League affiliate of the Kansas City Royals and play at state-of-the-art Arvest Ballpark, located in Springdale. The Naturals have a toll-free ticket hotline (1-877-444-2637) for fans to purchase Naturals tickets. Our website also offers fans the opportunity to purchase tickets online and avoid lines at the ticket windows by printing their tickets at home or at the office.
