Archie Bradley Awarded Player Of The Week Honors

The California League recognizes Rawhide starting pitcher as California League Player of the Week
April 15, 2013

VISALIA-The California League recognized D-backs top prospect and Rawhide starting pitcher Archie Bradley as the California League Player of the Week for the week of April 4th-April 14th. Bradley entered the season as the most highly rated prospect in the California League and was ranked #25 out of all the prospects in professional baseball by Baseball America.

Bradley was as good as advertised in his first two starts with Visalia. His first outing came on Friday, April 5th against the division-rival San Jose Giants. Bradley threw 5.2 scoreless innings, allowing four hits and three walks while striking out nine batters.

The 20-year old prodigy looked even better in his second outing on April 10th against the Bakersfield Blaze, going 6.0 scoreless innings, giving up just three hits and no walks while fanning 10 Blaze batters. As of April 15th, Bradley is tied for the league lead in strikeouts (19) along with fellow teammate Andrew Chafin.

Bradley is scheduled to start today for the series opener against the Modesto Nuts. It will be the first of a three game series before the Rawhide return home on Thursday, April 18th to launch a seven-game homestand. He will be expected to make his next home start on Saturday, April 20th against the Lake Elsinore Storm (SD).

Tickets for the upcoming homestand are available at the Rawhide ticket office or online at RawhideBaseball.com. Give us a call at 732-HIDE (4433) with any questions on ticket information.
