Kyle Ryan Named F.S.L. Pitcher of the Week

Lakeland Flying Tigers left-handed pitcher Kyle Ryan was named Florida State League Pitcher of the Week today.  The FSL selection was for the period of April 15-21.  

Ryan started one game against the Dunedin Blue Jays on April 18.  He pitched eight shutout innings with no decision.  He gave up only one hit, walked four, and struck out three batters.    

This is Ryan's fourth professional season.  He was selected by the Detroit Tigers in the 11th round of the June 2010 draft.  Ryan was born in Auburndale and played high school baseball at Auburndale High School.  He was an All-County selection by The Ledger in 2010
