Dance Team Auditions - Sunday, FirstEnergy Park

LAKEWOOD, NJ - Last-chance auditions for the BlueClaws 2013 Junior Dance Team will be held on Sunday, April 28th at FirstEnergy Park.

Registration begins at 10 am.

There is NO cost to audition and returning veterans do not need to audition.

The Junior Dance Team, which debuted in 2010, performs at five BlueClaws games throughout the season (to which each dancer gets a free ticket). Also, special for this season, the Junior Dance Team will be performing after the South Atlantic League All-Star Game. There are two levels: Junior Prep for girls ages 8-12 and Junior Pro for girls ages 13-18. Professional-level choreography is taught at the Junior Pro level.

Professional instruction is held monthly and dance team members will all receive their own BlueClaws Junior Dance Team uniforms.

"There's nothing quite like the thrill of performance in front of thousands of people on a packed night at the park," said Lou Jacobs of Statewide USA Pro Cheer, who runs the team. "But more than that, the experience and training that the girls will be getting through this program is extensive and immensely valuable."

Jacobs previously directed the Philadelphia Soulmates, the official dancers for the Arena Football League's Philadelphia Soul.
