Commemorative Brick Program Announced at BB&T Ballpark Site

May 8, 2013

(Fort Mill, SC) - On Wednesday, May 8 at a press conference held at the BB&T Ballpark site, the Charlotte Knights revealed details about their BB&T Ballpark Commemorative Brick Program, which will give Knights fans a chance to become a part of history. Media members received an up-close look at the site where the bricks will be placed. The personalized ballpark brick will be prominently featured and preserved at the main entrance to BB&T Ballpark in Uptown Charlotte. A portion of the proceeds will benefit Charlotte Knights Charities, which was also announced on Wednesday.

"A new era in Knights baseball will begin with the move to Uptown Charlotte in 2014," said Knights Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer Dan Rajkowski. "This state-of-the-art ballpark will give fans that ultimate game-day experience. For a limited time, we are offering our loyal fans a unique chance to personalize a commemorative brick to become a permanent part of this ballpark's history for generations to come. BB&T Ballpark will be a community asset - used and shared by the community. We are proud to implement this program."

Each of the three brick options include a commemorative brick installed at the main entrance to BB&T Ballpark, located at the corner of Mint Street and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, along with an individually numbered keepsake certificate. Also, keepsake replica bricks and custom display cases are available for fans interested in proudly displaying a duplicate of their stadium brick at their home or office.

Bricks are slated to be installed prior to the BB&T Ballpark opening in 2014. Prices for brick packages range from $90-$195. Commemorative bricks can be engraved with up to 15 characters per line. A character consists of letters, numbers, punctuation marks and blank spaces.

Fans may place their personalized brick orders online at www.charlotteknights.com/bricks or by phone at (855) BBT-KNIGHTS (855-228-5644). The Knights will also have a table set up on the Knights Stadium concourse during all home games this season for fans interested in learning more information about the commemorative brick program.
