Marauders Come Home for Promo Packed Weekend

Rays High-A Affiliate Makes First Visit to Renovated McKechnie Field

Bradenton, Fla. - The Marauders are back at McKechnie Field May 9-11 to taken on the Charlotte Stone Crabs in a series full of unique promotions. The Stone Crabs are the Tampa Bay Rays High-A affiliate. All three games start at 6:30 p.m. with gates opening at 5:30 p.m.

Thursday, May 9 is round three of the annual battle between ketchup and mustard. Condiment Duel III - Redemption is the rubber match between the two rivals. The first 1,000 fans will receive a free t-shirt to support one competitor or the other. Between innings, a giant bottle of ketchup and a man-sized mustard dispenser will compete on the field in feats of strength, skill, and athletic prowess to determine who the best condiment really is.

Fans attending the Condiment Duel can also enjoy Thirsty Thursday presented by Budweiser. Sodas and select draft beers cost only $1 throughout the ballpark.

The Marauders will honor the April Marauder of the month before the game on Thursday. Pitcher Nick Kingham earned the honor. Kingham etched his name in the franchise record book on April 28, when he struck out 13 Brevard County Manatees over six shutout innings. After striking out seven batters and allowing seven earned runs over his first two starts, the Las Vegas, NV native emerged as the staff ace with 26 strikeouts and only two runs allowed in his next three starts.

Friday, May 10 is Island Night presented by LaPensee Plumbing & Pools. Island Night features the third installment of the Marauders Concert Series, with The Island Boys taking the stage postgame. Island Night is also a Happy Hour Friday presented by Pier 22 Restaurant. From 5:30 p.m.-6:30 p.m., 500 free hot dogs will be given away at the outfield concessions stand and $1 sodas and $` domestic draft beers will be sold at the Kona Bar Built by NDC Construction and the Yuengling Plaza Bar thanks to Kayem and Cheney Brothers.   

Saturday, May 11 is Soccer Night. The first 500 fans will receive a free Marauders soccer-themed water bottle. Following the game there will be on-field soccer activities for 30 minutes.

Fans that can't wait for the home stand to start can come have fun at McKechnie Field on Wednesday, May 8 at the Kona Bar built by NDC Construction. The bar will open on all Wednesday non-gamedays at 5:00 p.m. for Happy Hour. Ladies drink free from 5:30p.m.-6:30 p.m.
