The force is with the Storm on Star Wars Night

Lake Elsinore, CA-The Lake Elsinore Storm continued their four game homestand against the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes on Saturday, evening the series with a 7-2 win on Star Wars Night behind a quality start from RHP Matt Jackson and the hot bat of Robert Kral.

Jackson went a season high 5.2 innings pitch and allowed two earned runs while striking out three.

The Storm took the lead for good in the second by scoring three runs on three hits and helped out by two Rancho errors. Lake Elsinore added three more in the fourth on a two-out RBI double from Yesion Ascenio followed by Kral's third home run of the series and team high seventh of the year. Asencio has now hit in six straight games going 13-for-36 during his streak.

Kral is now 6-for-7 in the series with three homeruns, two doubles and eight RBIs. Travis Jankowski added two hits and extended his hit streak to six straight while Cory Spangenberg first inning single extended his hitting streak to 12 games in a row.

Storm relievers Luis De La Cruz and Cody Hebner pitched three scoreless innings while giving up only two hits.

The Storm will host the Quakes on a Mothers day 2013 matinee starting at 2:05 p.m. Lake Elsinore will send RHP James Needy to the hill as he faces Rancho LHP Jarret Martin.
