Bats & Balls Finalist For Top Food Item

May 15, 2013

MISSOULA, MONT. - The Missoula Osprey, in conjunction with MiLB.com, the official website of Minor League Baseball, announced that the club's menu item, Bats & Balls is a finalist for the top food item in the all of the minor leagues.

Bats & Balls is Rocky Mountain oysters on a bed of fries and are served at every Osprey home game and special event for just $6.

What are Rocky Mountain oysters, you ask? Just deep-fried bull calf testicles that are peeled, coated in flour, peppered and salted and pounded flat, then fried for consumption. This Montana original is made to order and always good for a laugh or to trick the fan sitting next to you that you are buying him "chicken" for dinner.

The promotion labeled FoodFight is an interactive tournament allowing fans to choose the best food item in Minor League Baseball.

Voting for the first round started Wednesday, June 25 and voting will run through mid-day on Thursday, July 10.

Fans can cast also their vote now at www.milb.com/foodfight. Go and vote now for Bats & Balls to win the FoodFight. Vote now and make sure to vote often!

Those that vote will automatically be entered into a sweepstakes operated by MiLB.com that allows the winner to visit the ballpark of the FoodFight promotion winner and eat the FoodFight champion's meal.
