Stilson joins Herd pen, Everts released

2011 draft pick promoted from New Hampshire

The Buffalo Bisons today announced that RHP JOHN STILSON has been transferred to the club from Double-A New Hampshire. To make roster room, RHP Clint Everts has been released.

Stilson, 22, is in just his second professional season after being drafted by the Blue Jays in the 3rd round of the 2011 First-Year Player Draft. He began the 2013 season on the New Hampshire (Double-A) disabled list and was activated on May 14. In two relief appearances with the Fisher Cats, the righty has one save and a 3.86 ERA in 2.1 innings of work (3 H, R, 6 SO).

Last season, Stilson was 5-4 with a 3.88ERA in 30 games and 22 starts between Single-A Dunedin and New Hampshire.

Everts was 0-2 with a 9.39 ERA in six relief appearances with the Bisons (7.2 IP 7 H, 10 BB, SO).
