Duck Dynasty's Mountain Man To Visit Regions Field
The Birmingham Barons have announced Duck Dynasty Night at Regions Field for Father's Day on June 16th presented by Books-A-Million. The event will feature special Duck Dynasty promotions including a cast lookalike event and Best Beard contest among others and will be highlighted by an appearance by Mountain Man.
"The Barons are excited to welcome Mountain Man to Regions Field as we celebrate Duck Dynasty Night at the ballpark," said Barons General Manager Jonathan Nelson. "We continue to search for ways to make the fan experience even better and this promotion is sure to be a fan favorite."
A&E's Duck Dynasty, the top television show on cable, just completed it's third season. It shows the lives of the Robertson family, who became wealthy from their family-operated business, Duck Commander, operated in West Monroe, Louisiana, which makes products for duck hunters, primarily the duck call named Duck Commander. The one-hour, third season finale shown on April 24, 2013, tallied 9.6 million viewers, making it the highest rated telecast in A&E history.
Mountain Man, the only semi-regular cast member who is not a Duck Commander employee, operates his own air-conditioning repair business and co-hosts a local radio talk show. He is known for talking very slowly and his real name has never been used on the show. Mountain Man will throw out a first pitch prior to the game and will be available for autographs and photos throughout the night.
The first 1,000 fans in attendance on Sunday will win a replica duck whistle courtesy of Red Diamond. Book-A-Million will also have merchandise available for purchase. Fans are encouraged to wear their best camouflage clothing to the game.
