With the State College Spikes' 2013 season fast approaching, here's a reminder of all of the fantastic food and drink options fans can enjoy at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park during all 38 nights of fun, affordable family entertainment!
Good Hops/Burgertopia
Located on the Spikes Fun Deck in right field, Good Hops gives fans a wide selection of craft brews from The Gamble Mill, Otto's Pub, and craft beers from around the country thanks to W.R. Hickey. In the same location, Burgertopia gives fans a full menu of half-pound gourmet burgers. Items like the Pittsburgher, the Phillyburger, the Western Burger, and the Pit Boss highlight the slate, with every burger served on a pretzel bun.
Sweet
Located on the first base side, Sweet will be the main stand for desserts and Penn State Creamery ice cream at the ballpark. Specialty dishes will include novelties from Dairy Queen, banana splits, sundaes, funnel cakes, and root beer floats.
Flashpoint Grille
The Flashpoint Grille has all of the standard ballpark fare that Spikes fans have come to know and love at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park, along with mouth-watering additions such as pizza from The Cove Pizzeria, Pulled Pork and Bratwursts. Fans can flock to the Flashpoint Grille at two locations, on the first base and third base sides.
Smokie's Sausage Shack
Footlong hot dogs, footlong bratwurst, Polish and Italian sausage are always on the grill at Smokie's, located on the concourse behind home plate, using only the finest Dietz & Watson meats.
Salsa
Fans wanting to nosh on nachos and Walking Tacos can make their way south of the border at Salsa, located on the concourse behind home plate.
Steakadelphia
Steakadelphia offers fans authentic Philly cheese steaks and puts a Philly spin on nachos at the ballpark. Fans following the South Street cheese steak scent can find Steakadelphia on the third base side of the concourse.
Franx
Looking for "Dogs with the Worx" at the ballpark? Look no further than Franx, located on the third base side. Hot dog aficionados are sure to enjoy the Mexican Fiesta dog, the Philly Cheese Steak dog, the Firecracker dog, and the Porker. Every hot dog from Franx will also come on a gourmet bun that can only hope to contain all of the goodness.
All of these delectable food and drink concepts are the result of a partnership between the Spikes and Professional Sports Catering (PSC), which is now in its second year of producing tasty ballpark fare for fans young and old.
Savor all of these ballpark delicacies at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park starting on Monday, June 17 when the Spikes face the Williamsport Crosscutters (Philadelphia Phillies) at 7:05 p.m. in an Opening Night matchup presented by PSECU and 95.3 FM 3WZ.
