Gwinnett Braves Team Up with WDUN Newstalk 550AM for
The Gwinnett Braves and WDUN Newstalk 550 AM radio have signed a five-year exclusive radio partnership that includes the radio station broadcasting all 144 Gwinnett Braves games plus and any subsequent playoff games beginning in 2009. A pre and post-game show will accompany each game broadcast.
"WDUN 550 will be a great partner for us and we look forward to having them start the team's new chapter in Gwinnett," said Bruce Baldwin, Gwinnett Braves General Manager.
Current and longtime WSB radio sports director, Tony Schiavone, will be heard on all WDUN games as the play-by-play announcer. He will be joined in the booth with Judd Hickinbotham for all home games.
"Our affiliation with The Atlanta Braves goes back to 1966 and now to launch a new affiliation with The Gwinnett Braves to serve the growing Gwinnett - Northeast Georgia community is even more exciting," said Jay Jacobs, President of Jacobs Media and WDUN Newstalk 550.
