About the Vancouver Canadians partnership with St. Paul's Hospital Foundation

Strike Out Heart Disease began in 2012 in joint partnership with the Vancouver Canadians and St. Paul's Hospital Foundation. Corporations, individuals and fans make donations based on the number of strikeouts recorded by Vancouver Canadians pitchers over the course of the season.

In 2012, the Canadians recorded 570 strikeouts which generated more than $14,000 towards the Strike Out Heart Disease initiative. This year, Canadians owner Jake Kerr has stepped to the forefront of this cause and stated that he will match all funds raised up to $25,000 to help St. Paul's Hospital and its Foundation.

100% of the proceeds generated through our Strike Out Heart Disease campaign are given to the St. Paul's Hospital Foundation. With our help, St. Paul's Hospital can continue its research and development of cutting-edge technology that is utilized throughout the Lower Mainland and around the world.
