Team Ghost Riders at Fluor Field Saturday
Look out for Team Ghost Riders on Saturday, June 1st as this exciting, fast-paced act of sheep dog-riding monkeys makes its Fluor Field debut. Team Ghost Riders has been a hit at ballparks across the country, and you'll see why, as it combines the jungle and the rodeo arena to bring the Wild West to life!
Led by Tim "Wild Thang" Lepard, Team Ghost Riders has even been featured on ESPN E:60. Tim is a long-time rodeo veteran, starting out his career riding bucking bulls and fighting bulls. After nine major surgeries due to fighting bulls, he began to put together the dog and monkey act and concentrated on comedy.
The first team is Charger and Rock. Rock came from a very good friend, Emil Luedecke . Rock has been on the team one year and doing well. His rider is Paige (stage name Charger). Paige is the best one of the monkeys and if anyone of them is number one, then Paige is it!
The second team is Laramie and Ted. Russell Johnson told Tim that Ted had been abused and that he wouldn't want him. Ted turned out to be the team leader and is the best dog around. Tim's daughter loves this dog a lot and she is only two. The monkey is named Dusty (named him after George Strait's character in the movie Pure Country).
The third team is Mega and Dog. Tim's cousin Larry named this monkey and really loves him. Sam (stage name Mega) is the leader of the monkeys and wants to ride the toughest dog. He is riding Dog. Dog came from Georgia, and can be very hard headed, he loves to be out front and in the limelight...A real GO-GETTER!
The fourth team is Dakota and Spot. Dawn (stage name Dakota) is a very sweet monkey and although she has never had a baby, we are waiting for one in the future. The dog she is riding is Spot and he came from L. H. Wood in Weatherford, TX. This dog has really come on fast.
