Inaugural Guinness Irish Festival Set for June 29 at PNG Field

Irish-Style Festival to Feature Live Music, Authentic Food, and Guinness Beer

CURVE, Pa. -The inaugural Guinness Irish Festival is set to take place on Saturday, June 29th at Peoples Natural Gas field from noon-6 p.m. The all-ages event will feature live Irish music, Guinness beer, authentic Irish food, activities for kids and families alike and more.

Festival gates will open at 12 p.m. on the 29th.

Several Guinness family brews and Miller Lite will be available to attendees.

Three regional bands will be onstage to entertain festival goers with Irish-inspired music. The Michael O'Brian Band will feature Irish pub songs, rebel tunes, and parodies that emphasize audience participation. Nua will bring traditional Irish ballads and soulful storytelling. Finally, Full Kilt will blend foot-stomping Irish spirit and driving rock and roll for genuine Celtic fun.

On top of the beer and live music, festival-goers can indulge in a wide variety of food. Many traditional Irish food items will be served at the festival. Classic ballpark food will also be available to attendees. Additionally, carts will serve pretzels, cotton candy, and other snacks for festival attendees.

Tickets for the Guinness Irish Festival are on sale now for $5. They're available by calling the Curve at 877-99-CURVE, visiting www.AltoonaCurve.com, or stopping by the box office at Peoples Natural Gas Field. Tickets can also be purchased on the day of the event for $7.

Admission for kids ages 12 or younger is free. Galliker's Fun Zone activities for the kids will be open and cost $1 per play or $5 for an all-day wristband. Curve full season ticket holders will receive free tickets to the Festival.
