Kelly Cup Champion Reading Royals to be Honored Friday

2013 ECHL Champions' celebration continues Friday at FirstEnergy Stadium

READING, Pa.---The Reading Fightin Phils, Double-A affiliate of the Philadelphia Phillies, will be celebrating the 2013 ECHL Kelly Cup Champion Reading Royals, affiliate of the NHL Washington Capitals and AHL Hershey Bears, at FirstEnergy Stadium Friday night when the team returns home for a three-game series starting at 7:05 p.m.

Royals Captain Yannick Tifu and the Kelly Cup will be on hand for a pre-game ceremony honoring the ECHL champions. Tifu will address the Baseballtown faithful during the pre-game and throw a ceremonial first pitch as part of the evening's festivities. 

Following the pre-game ceremony, the Kelly Cup will head to VIST Bank Plaza where Royals and Fightins fans can snap a photo onstage with the trophy beginning at game time.  
Along with Tifu, the Fightins will be welcoming the Royals front office and their families as honored guests throughout the night. 

Following the game, there will be a post-game fireworks show thanks to All Star Distributing and Miller Lite. 

Limited tickets for Friday's game against the Akron Aeros remain. Tickets can be purchased online at Fightins.com, by phone at 610-370-BALL, or in-person at the Fightin Phils Ticket Office located at FirstEnergy Stadium.
