Right-handed pitcher Red Patterson returns to the Albuquerque Isotopes today, June 4 after being sent to Rookie-level Ogden on June 1. He will start today's 12:05 p.m. game for the Isotopes. It will be his third start of the season for Albuquerque. Right-hander Angel Castro has been placed on the disabled list with a left oblique strain and right-handed pitcher Matt Shelton joins the Isotopes from extended spring training.

Patterson has appeared in 16 games for the Isotopes this season and has started two contests. As a starter, he is 0-1 with a 9.00 ERA (7 ER/7.0 IP) and he is 2-1 overall with a 5.29 ERA (19 ER/32.1 IP). He was selected in the 29th round of the 2010 First-Year Player Draft and served exclusively as a starter his first two seasons making 42 starts. Shelton joins his first Triple-A roster today. The 24-year-old Texas native has made four appearances with Single-A Rancho Cucamonga this season, posting a 3-0 record with a 5.06 ERA (3 ER/5.1IP). He has allowed two walks, four hits and struck out three without allowing a home run. The 6-4 righty was originally drafted by the Dodgers in the 24th round of the 2011 First-Year Player Draft and has spent seasons with Rookie League Ogden and Single-A Great Lakes in 2011 and 2012, respectively. Over his three year professional career, he holds a 10-7 record with a 2.73 ERA (30 ER/99.0IP) over 66 appearances, all from the bullpen.
