0.0K Race, Fireworks, And Four Giveaways Highlight Summer Fun At AutoZone Park

MEMPHIS, Tenn. - The Memphis Redbirds return to AutoZone Park on Thursday, June 6 for a 10-game, eight-day homestand against the cross-state rival Nashville Sounds (Triple-A Brewers) and New Orleans Zephyrs (Triple-A Marlins). The promotion-packed homestand will be highlighted by a doubleheader, 0.0K Race, four giveaways, and fireworks.

Thursday, June 6 vs. Nashville Sounds at 7:05 p.m. (Gates Open at 6:00 p.m.)

  • I-40 Cup T-Shirt Giveaway: Root for Memphis to beat Tennessee-rival Nashville in the I-40 Cup Series. The first 1,000 fans will receive an I-40 Cup t-shirt upon arrival, presented by the Tennessee Education Lottery.
  • Subway Eat Fresh Thursday: Fans can receive a half-price ticket to any Redbirds Thursday regular season game when presenting in a Subway restaurant receipt, and can also receive a free sub coupon when exiting.
  • Thursday Night Out: For $15, fans will receive a Field Box ticket, 16 oz. Michelob Ultra beer, and a Michelob Ultra koozie or opener.

Friday, June 7 vs. Nashville Sounds at 7:05 p.m. (Gates Open at 5:00 p.m.)

  • Redbirds Gym Bag Giveaway: The first 2,000 fans can receive a Redbirds Gym Bag and work out in style, courtesy of the ServiceMaster Company.
  • Friday Block Party: Every Friday, gates open early for a Block Party featuring 16oz. Coors Lights for $2 and live music from 5:00-7:00 p.m.
  • Fred's Family Friday: Fans can save up to $30 on Dugout seats at all Friday Redbirds home games after spending $15 at fred's Super Dollar. Bring your fred's Super Dollar store receipt to the Redbirds box office & receive a $5 discount per ticket. (Limit 6 tickets per receipt)

Saturday, June 8 vs. Nashville Sounds at 6:05 p.m. (Gates Open at 5:00 p.m.)

  • Rendezvous BBQ Apron Giveaway: Your backyard BBQs will get a whole lot better once the first 2,000 fans receive a Redbirds BBQ Apron giveaway presented by Charles Vergo's Rendezvous. 
  • SuperHero and Comic Fireworks Night: Fans can mingle with their favorite superheroes and comic characters, and then stick around for another great fireworks show presented by Mission Foods.  
  • Signature Saturday: Select Redbird players will sign autographs in the plaza from 5:00-5:30 p.m.
  • Welcome To Memphis Teach-For-America Night: Memphis celebrates new and returning Teach For America teachers from the Mid-South in the third-annual Teach for America night, presented by the ServiceMaster Company.

Sunday, June 9 vs. Nashville Sounds at 1:35 p.m. (Gates Open at 12:30 p.m.)

  • 0.0K "Race" With T-Shirt Giveaway: The Redbirds are staging the first-ever 0.0K Race before Sunday's matinee. To complete this event, all fans need to do is stroll underneath a celebratory balloon archway set up at the AutoZone Park entrance. Redbirds employees will be there to greet them, handing out cups of water, bananas, foil blankets and, to the first 1,000 participants, a commemorative t-shirt, presented by Moe's Southwest Grill.
  • Sunday Brunch: For $40, fans can receive a Club Level Redbirds ticket and enjoy a special buffet that includes mimosas, bloody marys, Rendezvous BBQ, fried chicken, french toast, eggs benedict, eggs, bacon, sausages, biscuits, muffins, berries, bananas foster, and more in the Club Level Lounge when gates open.
  • Kids Run the Bases: Kids 12 and under get to take the field after the game and run like the Redbirds, sponsored by TennDent and Shelby County Health Department.

Monday, June 10 vs. New Orleans Zephyrs at 6:05 p.m. (Gates Open at 5:00 p.m.)

  • EAT MOR CHIKIN Monday: Fans can receive $6 off the gameday ticket price at the box office when presenting a Chick-fil-A value meal receipt. Limit 4 tickets per transaction.
  • Malibu Monday: On Mondays at AutoZone Park, fans can purchase a Field Box ticket and a Malibu can cocktail for only $19, or a Club Level ticket and a Malibu can cocktail for only $24.
  • Completion of Suspended Game: The Redbirds and Zephyrs will resume their rain-suspended game from April, with one out in the top of the 12th inning with New Orleans leading 6-2. The two teams will play a regularly scheduled nine-inning contest approximately 30 minutes after the completion of the resumed game.

Tuesday, June 11 vs. New Orleans Zephyrs at 5:02 p.m. - Doubleheader (Gates Open at 4:00 p.m.)

  • Doubleheader: The Redbirds and Zephyrs will play a doubleheader consisting of a pair of seven-inning contests. The second game will begin approximately 30 minutes after the completion of the twinbill opener.
  • "Two"sday: Tuesdays are now "Two"-sdays at AutoZone Park featuring $2 hot dogs, sodas, and popcorn, 2-for-1 ticket specials at the Box Office, special in-game giveaways, and $2 off Budweiser draft products.

Wednesday, June 12 vs. New Orleans Zephyrs at 7:05 p.m. (Gates Open at 6:00 p.m.)

  • Wet Your Whistle Wednesday: Every Wednesday, fans can receive a Field Box ticket, 16oz. Pabst Blue Ribbon, and a PBR koozie for only $10.
  • Ford Drive it Home Vehicle Raffle: Five finalists will each have keys with the opportunity to win and choose a new 2013 Ford Fusion, Escape, or F-150. Only one will have the right key to start a new Ford F-150, the official Truck of the Memphis Redbirds. The Memphis Area Ford Dealers are donating the vehicle to raise money and awareness for Ronald McDonald House, which serves families with children being treated at St. Jude's Research Hospital.   

Thursday, June 13 vs. New Orleans Zephyrs at 11:05 a.m. (Gates Open at 10:00 a.m.)

  • Subway Eat Fresh Thursday: Fans can receive a half-price ticket to any Redbirds Thursday regular season game when presenting in a Subway restaurant receipt, and can also receive a free sub coupon when exiting.
  • Thursday Day Out: For $15, fans will receive a Field Box ticket, 16 oz. Michelob Ultra beer, and a Michelob Ultra koozie or opener.
  • Summer Camp Day: Local summer camps can enjoy a matinee game at the ballpark, with ticket specials and food options available.
