Celebrate the Dog Day of Summer with the G-Braves

Bark in the Park Scheduled at Gwinnett Stadium on June 11

The Gwinnett Braves are inviting fans to take their dogs out to the ballgame for the first Bark in the Park at Gwinnett Stadium on Thursday, June 11 when the team takes on the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees (New York Yankees) at 7:05 p.m.

Bark in the Park festivities include:

• Puppy Parade - All owners and their dogs are encouraged to join the on-field parade. The parade begins at 6:15 p.m. and those interested in taking part should arrive at the stadium's Berm entrance at 6:00 p.m.

• Canine Contests - Enter your pet for "Top Dog" honors in categories such as cutest, best dressed and most looks like their owner. Prizes will be donated by Companion Animal Behavior Consulting, Camp Bow Wow and PETCO.

• Pooch Performance - The talented Frisbee Dogs will perform on the field during pre-game.

• All-Star Accommodations - Water Pools and dog houses from Holland's Dog Houses will be available outside the Berm area, Russell Ridge Animal Hospital will pass out 500 leashes to dog owners at the Berm gate, Southeast Pug Rescue Association and PETCO will provide Doggie Bags and PETCO will also supply collapsible water bowls and bandanas.
