ESPN 106.3 FM to Broadcast Wednesday Home Games
JUPITER, Fla. - Roger Dean Stadium is pleased to announce they have entered into a partnership with Good Karma Broadcasting (GKB)'s ESPN West Palm to broadcast the Jupiter Hammerheads and Palm Beach Cardinals Wednesday night home games on ESPN 106.3 FM. Beginning June 12, the coverage will also include a 15 minute pre-game show. The games will air live on ESPN 106.3 FM and online at www.ESPNWestPalm.com.
Fans may also access the Wednesday night broadcasts on JupiterHammerheads.com or PalmBeachCardinals.com by clicking the multimedia tab at the top of the page.
"Roger Dean Stadium is extremely excited to partner with ESPN West Palm Beach," said Mike Bauer, General Manager of Jupiter Stadium LTD. "We think this will greatly benefit our fans."
ESPN 106.3 FM personality Jeremy Marks-Peltz, who hosts weeknights from 6:00 -8:00 p.m. (EST), will call the Wednesday night Florida State League games from Roger Dean Stadium. Jeremy Marks-Peltz was previously a Division I play-by-play announcer for FIU Football, and has served as a studio host for the Miami Heat. His current play-by-play duties include Football Night in South Florida and the Stars Football League. Each week, Marks-Peltz will be joined by an ESPN 106.3 FM personality who will serve as the rotating color commentator.
"It's great to be able to offer passionate baseball fans in our area the chance to learn more about tomorrow's stars, whom we are fortunate enough to have playing right here in Palm Beach County," said Steve Politziner, General Manager and Vice President of ESPN West Palm and Good Karma Broadcasting. "Furthermore, having a noted play-by-play announcer in Jeremy Marks-Peltz handling the broadcast duties will serve to make it an enjoyable experience for the fans at Roger Dean Stadium and within the listening area of ESPN 106.3 FM."
This will mark the first time the Jupiter Hammerheads and Palm Beach Cardinals will be broadcast on the FM dial.
Connecticut School of Broadcasting, a local college helping students find careers in TV or radio broadcasting, will be the first sponsor of the new endeavor. Each week, a fan attending the game will be chosen to join the broadcast team in the play-by-play booth to experience sports announcing firsthand.
