Ports host annual job fair Feb. 21

STOCKTON, Calif. -- The Stockton Ports are pleased to announce that they are now accepting applications for part-time positions for game day staff.

Applications are available at Banner Island Ballpark and at the Ports Web site, www.stocktonports.com. The Stockton Ports will be hosting a Job Fair for game day staff positions on Saturday, Feb. 21, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Banner Island Ballpark.

The Ports, reigning champions of the California League, are looking for energetic, motivated and friendly individuals to fill a variety of game-day positions. The Ports offer flexible hours in an exciting atmosphere working Minor League baseball games and special events at Banner Island Ballpark. The Ports season runs from April to mid-September with 70 regular season home games. Game day staff hours typically begin after 5 p.m. on weekdays, and include weekends.

The following positions are available for the 2009 season: Ushers, Games Area operators, Ticket Takers
Customer Service representatives
Parking Attendants
Merchandise/In-Park Sales representatives
Concessions
Food Preparation and Runners
Grounds Crew members

Job seekers can fill out and submit applications to the Stockton Ports front office at Banner Island Ballpark or at the Job Fair. All interviews will be conducted in late February and the Ports will contact job candidates.

"Our game day staff are an important part of the Ports team, and they do a great job of creating a fun, fan-friendly atmosphere at Banner Island Ballpark," said Ethan Bagen, Ports Stadium Operations Manager.
