Three More Dragons to Play in All-Star Game
DAYTON, OHIO-Midwest League President George Spelius announced today that Dayton Dragons pitchers Sean Lucas, Alejandro Chacin, and Ben Klimesh have been added the Eastern Division All-Star roster. Lucas has been added to the team to replaced Dragons pitcher Robert Stephenson, who was placed on the disabled list on Wednesday with a strained hamstring. Chacin and Klimesh replace Bowling Green pitchers Jeff Ames and Taylor Guerrieri.
The 2013 Midwest League All-Star Game will be played at 7:05 p.m. on Tuesday, June 18 at Fifth Third Field in Dayton.
All three Dragons pitchers added to the All-Star roster have been relievers this season. Lucas leads the Dragons with eight saves, going 2-1 with a 3.68 earned run average in 26 relief appearances. Chacin has pitched in 20 games, going 1-2 with a 2.31 ERA and one save. Klimesh has pitched in 19 games, going 3-0 with a 3.18 ERA and four saves.
