Hot Rods to host job fair

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. -- The Bowling Green Hot Rods, Class A affiliate of the American League Champion Tampa Bay Rays, will hold a job fair to hire game day staff on February 28th, 2009. The job fair will run from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM and take place at 426 E. Main Street, next to Fountain Square Park, in downtown Bowling Green.

"In a time when the economy is a little tough and people are losing their jobs, the Hot Rods are hiring," said team General Manager and CEO, Brad Taylor. "This job fair allows us to promote job growth and stimulate the economy. We are proud to show another way we are involved with the community."

The team is looking to hire people for a variety of positions, including grounds crew, ticket takers, ushers, security, bat boys and Team Store personnel. Stadium food vendor Centerplate will also be taking applications for various positions in the concessions department.

To streamline the application process, the team is urging all applicants to download an employment application to fill out before they head to the job fair. All applicants must be at least 16 years old, with some positions requiring a minimum age of 18.
