Single Game Tickets On Sale Now
The Iowa Cubs open the 2009 season at the Round Rock Express, the triple-A affiliate of the Houston Astros, on April 9 at 7:05 p.m., and open at home on Friday, April 17at 7:05 p.m. against Round Rock. The home opener will be followed by a post-game fireworks show.
Tickets for all 71 home dates are available for purchase in person at the box office or by phone between 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Fans also may purchase tickets online at www.iowacubs.com at any time.
Ticket prices for 2009 are as follows: $25 for Home Plate Club seats, $12 for Club Box seats, $10 for Field Box seats and Reserved Grandstand seats, and $7 for general admission. Ticket prices for children (13 and under) are reduced for Reserved Grandstand sections ($6) and General Admission ($4).
Cubs tickets are available at a reduced rate for groups of 25 or more by calling the Group Sales Department at 515-243-6111.
The Cubs' online ticket system will allow fans to be able to select their exact seat location for each game and print tickets at home. All fans will be able to e-mail their tickets to friends through their own ticket management account.
"The online ticket system makes it easier and more convenient for our fans," Iowa Cubs General Manager Sam Bernabe said. "It allows our fans to pick the best seats for each game, and to get those tickets into the hands of friends should they be unable to use those tickets."
Special events scheduled for 2009 include appearances by the Famous Chicken on June 11 and August 11 and the annual holiday fireworks shows on July 2 and 3. The Iowa Cubs will play one game at Wrigley Field this year on Sunday, August 9. Tickets for that game will be available at a later date.
