June 26, 2013

SAN JOSE, CA- San Jose Giants right-handed starting pitcher Kyle Crick was named to the USA Squad for the 15th annual All-Star Futures Game which will take place on Sunday, July 14 at Citi Field, the home of the New York Mets. The San Francisco Giants supplemental first round pick in the 2011 draft, Crick is in his second full professional season. In his first start since coming off of the disabled list on June 21, Crick allowed just three hits while striking out 10 in four innings. Prior to the season, he was named the number one prospect in the San Francisco Giants organization by Baseball America. Crick is also the only player in the organization to be selected to the Futures Game.

The First Half North Division Champion San Jose Giants are at Municipal Stadium for a four game series against the Stockton Ports starting Thursday, June 27. On Friday, June 28 the San Jose Giants, KRTY and Sutter Home are teaming up again for Breast Cancer Awareness Night. The Giants will also be hosting a silent auction of limited edition game-worn players and coaches pink jerseys.
