Special Nickelodeon Day Scheduled For Sunday At AutoZone Park
MEMPHIS, Tenn. - The Memphis Redbirds will host Nickelodeon Day during a 1:35 p.m. matinee on Sunday, June 30, featuring a special afternoon full of wacky contests and fun for the whole family.
Talent from the children and teen network Nickelodeon will be taking over AutoZone Park throughout the Redbirds' homestand finale on Sunday, which will feature a slime-u-lator, pies, plenty of shenanigans, and of course, lots of green slime.
Contestants will be slimed, pied, and watered by Nickelodeon during half-inning breaks throughout the entirety of Sunday's ballgame, reminiscent of the classic shows You Can't Say That on Television and Figure it Out. Nickelodeon personality and Figure It Out host Jeff Sutphen will lead the day's special events.
Redbirds fans will not want to miss Sunday's exclusive experience at AutoZone Park. The Redbirds and short-season Brooklyn Cyclones were the only two minor league teams chosen by Nickelodeon to host this fun-filled day in 2013.
Sunday's first pitch between the Redbirds and Albuquerque Isotopes is scheduled for 1:35 p.m. Gates open at 12:30 p.m.
Ticket packages are currently on sale. Please call (901) 722-0299 or visit the Redbirds website at www.memphisredbirds.com to order or for more information.
