Red Barons announce roster for 2006

The Philadelphia Phillies have released the Red Barons tentative opening day roster. Thirteen members of the 2006 squad are former Red Barons and 21 have experience at the Triple-A or Major League Level. The only Triple-A rookies are Brennan King (3B) and Chris Roberson (OF).

The current roster sits one short of the 24 man limit. The Phillies are expected to add another pitcher before the season starts.

The 2006 season begins April 6 in Columbus at 7:00 p.m. The home opener is Friday, April 14 at 7:00 p.m. vs. Norfolk. There will be a public workout on Tuesday, April 4 at 3:15 p.m. and Wednesday, April 5 at 2:00 p.m.
