Top-10 T-shirts at 'The Joe'

CHARLESTON, S.C. -- The Charleston RiverDogs, who open their second season as the Class A affiliate of the New York Yankees on April 6 against the Augusta GreenJackets, are kicking off a season-long celebration of the 10th anniversary of Joseph P. Riley Jr. Park.

And in traditional RiverDogs fashion, many promotions will surround the 10th year celebration. One will be the various giveaways of that prized T-shirt that features two Top-10 lists.

"We gave a ton of thought to what our promotional T-shirts will feature this year," said RiverDogs general manager Dave Echols. "Well, actually, it wasn't a ton but a couple of hours' worth of intense brain-racking time. We have some great promotions lined up, and the T-shirt giveaways are always one that our fans love."

The two T-shirt giveaways, both of which are sponsored by Lord and Evans Paints, are divided into the nightly "sling-shot giveaway" and the other will be given to the first 1,000 fans through the gates on May 20.
