Pink Ribbon Night set for June 20

Players to wear commemorative jerseys to be auctioned off during June 20 game

SEVIERVILLE, Tenn. - East Tennesseans are encouraged to come out to the Smokies Park and wear pink for Pink Ribbon Night on Saturday, June 20. The Tennessee Smokies' show of support in fighting breast cancer will coincide with nine innings of exciting baseball against the Carolina Mudcats. First pitch is set for 7:15 p.m.

The night's festivities will begin with a pre-game ceremony at 6:30 p.m. to honor all breast cancer survivors who will be in attendance. The Smokies players will also show their support by wearing navy blue jerseys with pink "SMOKIES" lettering across the front. These player-worn commemorative jerseys will be auctioned off to fans following the game, with all proceeds benefiting the Knoxville Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure.

A ticket discounts for $2.00 off to the game is available online for all breast cancer survivors, co-survivors and past "Race for the Cure" participants (along with their guest). All survivors and past race participants will be able to order their discounted tickets on the Smokies Web site and apply their coupon code for the game at the time of checkout. Breast cancer survivors and past "Race for the Cure" participants may get their ticket discount coupon code for the June 20 game by calling the Knoxville Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure at (865) 588-0902.

In addition, Smokies fans wearing pink to the game will be able to receive $2.00 off their ticket when purchasing at the Smokies Park box office.
