Quakes release promo sked

The Rancho Cucamonga Quakes, along with their valued corporate partners, will offer 17 fireworks shows, in addition to great giveaway nights, two former Major League player appearances and special theme nights highlighting their 2009 Promotional Calendar.

"We are excited to give the fans a great variation of giveaways and events with a promotion occurring each Friday and Saturday home game. In the coming weeks we will also be announcing our weekday promotions, which are very popular with our fans." said Quakes Executive Vice President and General Manager Gerard McKearney.

The popular fireworks shows include the annual July 3rd Independence Day Fireworks Spectacular, courtesy of Vineyard Bank. Fireworks will also be displayed following Opening Night at the Epicenter, on Monday, April 13th, when the Quakes host the Visalia Rawhide.

The giveaways for 2009 are highlighted by a Hank Conger Bobblehead sponsored by Vineyard Bank, June 13th. Quakes Fleece Blankets sponsored by Astellas Pharma US Inc./Donate Life will be given away on May 2nd and a Recycle Mug presented by the City of Rancho Cucamonga Environmental Programs and the Department of Conservation, will be the featured item on May 29th. Limited quantities will be available for each giveaway.

The Quakes will also be pleased to welcome former major leaguers Mark Gubicza (Sunday, April 19th) and Jerry Reuss (Sunday, May 3rd to The Epicenter in 2009 for autograph appearances.

On July 10th and 11th the Quakes will be celebrating a "Going Green" Weekend. A Reusable Shopping Bag presented by the Green Institute for Village Empowerment (GIVE) will be given away to fans on July 10th. On July 11th a postgame fireworks show will be "green only". Also during both of these games, the Quakes will be wearing special "Going Green" jerseys, that will be auctioned off during the July 11th game.

The Quakes are excited for the return of special theme nights with Armed Forces Day taking place on Saturday, May 16th, Cancer Awareness Night on Saturday, June 20th and Angels Appreciation Day on Friday, August 14th. Other fun events will take place on Wednesday, July 22nd with Earthquake Awareness Night, on Saturday, August 15th in honor of the 40th Anniversary of Woodstock, the Quakes will be celebrating "QuakeStock," and on Sunday, August 16th it will be "Classic Car" Day.
