Mookie Wilson Autograph Signing on July 15th

LAKEWOOD, NJ - Former Mets outfielder Mookie Wilson will sign autographs at the July 15th BlueClaws game. The announcement was made between innings at the BlueClaws game on July 3rd and brings antoher former MLB star to the Jersey Shore!

Wilson, a former Lakewood Township resident, will sign autographs during the game after throwing a ceremonial first pitch. That night's game, against the Hickory Crawdads, starts at 7:05 pm.

Wilson, a 2nd round pick of the Mets in 1977, hit .274 with 327 stolen bases over a 12-year Major League career that included time with both the Mets and Blue Jays.

He is perhaps most known for hitting the ball that snuck through the legs of Bill Buckener in Game 6 of the 1986 World Series.

The game also includes an appearance from the traveling entertainment act The Fur Circus (website here) and Kids Eat Free thanks to ShopRite. The July 15th game is presented by New Jersey Natural Gas.
