Charlotte Knights Bring Exciting New Promotions for Fans
FORT MILL, S.C. - March 24, 2009 - The Charlotte Knights are proud to announce their 2009 promotional calendar. Opening Day is just three weeks away and will be played under the sun as the Knights will be hosting the first Triple-A game of the season on April 9th at 11:15 a.m
Opening Day will be one of two 'Math Days' the club will host for schools in York, Gaston, Union and Lancaster County. Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools will participate in the Math Day on April 15th.
Knights fans will once again be treated to the best fireworks display in all of the Carolinas. Each Saturday night home game is followed by post-game fireworks. This also includes July 4th which will feature the Skyshow 2009 presented by NewsTalk 1110 WBT, Jeep, Time Warner Cable and The Charlotte Observer.
Fans will also be able to take advantage of several promotional days throughout the season including:
· All You Can Eat Knight - For $19 for adults and $14 for children (3 to 12) fans will receive a General Admission ticket along with all you can eat hot dogs, popcorn, nachos, peanuts, and small sodas.
· Bi-Lo two ticket Tuesday's - Fans can buy one ticket and get another free when they present their Bi-Lo Bonus Card when purchasing tickets to any Tuesday game from the Knights ticket office.
· Harris Teeter VIC card Wednesday's & 'Ball Park Franks Dollar Hot Dog Nights' - Fans can buy one ticket and receive another ticket free when they show their Harris Teeter VIC card at the Knights ticket office. Once inside the stadium, fans can purchase hot dogs for just one dollar.
· 'Thirsty Thursdays' presented by Hooters - Selected beers are just $2 and all soft drinks are $1.
· Free Stuff Fridays - Knights fans will be treated to a number of giveaways throughout the season. Among the giveaways: Webkinz, Youth Baseball Jerseys, Beach Towels, Retro Baseball Caps and Magnetic Schedules.
· BB&T Family Sundays - Kids can get autographs from their favorite Knights players before and after the game. Kids also get the chance to run the bases following the game.
For the first time the Knights will be able to serve alcohol on Sundays. York County voters passed a referendum in November 2008 that allows Sunday alcohol sales.
