Foothills Brewing at Durham Bulls Athletic Park

July 8, 2013

At the DBAP, there is a strong belief that keeping things local is better. This idea can be seen in the wide selection of North Carolina beers that are highlighted in the ballpark. Foothills Brewing, a hometown brand, offers a variety of local hand-crafted beers that are proudly served at every Durham Bulls game. Located on the concourse are two Foothills Beer Gardens with four unique blends on tap that are sure to be a homerun with everyone.

Brewmaster Jamie Bartholomaus carefully selects only the freshest and finest ingredients for each individual blend. Hoppyum IPA, a flagship brew, is full of citrusy American hops with an emphasis on Simcoe hops. The brew finishes dry, making it a great nine inning brew!

If you're looking for a classic American style Pale Ale, check out Pilot Mountain.  It is brewed with Munich and crystal malts. Cascade whole hops are added to the mash for an additional hop aroma.

A good mouth feel, and well-balanced Czech Saaz hops ensure that Torch Pilsner is not your typical pilsner. A well-structured, Czech style pilsner is strong in alcohol with a rich, full finish.

Two row barley, a hint of wheat, and noble hops makes Carolina Blonde exactly what a craft brew American Cream Ale should be. A clean and refreshing flavor with an unmistakable smoothness; all brewed right here in North Carolina!

"Durham has a one of the best craft beer scenes in the state," says Foothills Eastern NC Sales Manager, Scott Mizerak. He adds that "Beer and Baseball together is a beautiful thing and we love being a part of that." So next time you're at the DBAP, stop by the Foothills Beer Garden and find your new favorite brew!
