Aeros Statement on Tonight's Roger Dorn Snow Globe Giveaway
(AKRON, OHIO) July 13, 2013 - The Akron Aeros announced a change in procedure for tonight's scheduled Roger Dorn Snow Globe giveaway. The Aeros were notified at 2:17 p.m. this afternoon of a shipping delay from Los Angeles. Due to this delay, instead of the first 1,000 fans receiving the snow globe upon entry at Canal Park, they will receive a numbered voucher, a glossy Corbin Bernsen (aka Roger Dorn) photograph for autographs, and a game ticket to tomorrow's game, Sunday, July 14 vs. Altoona.
The numbered vouchers are only available to the first 1,000 fans to tonight's game. The snow globes will be available for pickup at Canal Park on Sunday, July 14 beginning at 12:30 p.m. prior to the scheduled 2:05 p.m. game vs. Altoona. Fans must have a numbered voucher, available only at tonight's game, to get a Roger Dorn snow globe on July 14.
Bernsen will still be signing autographs for fans tonight, starting in the top of the second inning and the team will still be holding all other promotions such as the 1980's style Indians game-worn jersey auction, rock-and-roll fireworks sponsored by the Akron-Canton Airport, which also is the sponsor of the Roger Dorn snow globes, and the Northern Ohio Honda Dealer's Celebrity Saturday, which includes the mystery celebrity public address announcer of the game.
The Aeros are the Double-A affiliate of the Cleveland Indians. In the 2012 season, the Aeros won the Eastern League Championship for the fourth time in team history. The 2013 season is its 17th since moving to Canal Park and becoming the Aeros. For more information, call the Aeros at 330-253-5151 or visit www.akronaeros.com.
