Carlos Hernandez Named Pitcher of the Week

RockHounds Left Hander Picks up a Pair of Wins and League Honors

Carlos Hernandez was named Texas League Pitcher of the Week on Monday. The lefthander picked up a pair of wins in two starts (vs Arkansas and Corpus Christi) from Monday, July 8th through Sunday, July 14th. Hernandez struck out nine, allowed no runs and just 10 hits in 12 plus innings of work.

Hernandez was selected in the 35th round of the 2006 draft out of West Valley College in California. He has spent parts of five seasons with the RockHounds and has made several stops at the Triple-A level as well.
