Koshinski, Gorino to be honored on Bisons Italian Night - Thursday, July 18.

The Buffalo Bisons will host their Annual Italian American Festival Night on Thursday July 18, 2013 as the team hosts the Toledo Mud Hens at Coca-Cola Field (7:05 p.m.). The team is proud to recognize the accomplishments of two great members of the Western New York community.

Henry Gorino will be honored with the "Ilio DiPaolo Humanitarian Award" and Bob (Rizzo) Koshinski will be named the Bisons "Italian-American of the Year"

Award ceremonies will take place at a pre-game party in the Coca-Cola Field Pavilion area (open at 5pm), which will also feature food and drink specials and live entertainment. After the Bisons game, there will also be a fantastic post game pyrotechnics display.

About Henry Gorino
Raised in North Buffalo, Henry Gorino attended St. Joe's & Syracuse University and worked at Cole's, Mulligan's and Fanny's. He opened Valentine's and then opened Oliver's in 1983 with friend and business partner, John Tronolone and is currently partners in Siena, 800 Maple and Rocco's with Chuck Mauro and others.

Gorino is married to wife, Judy and has two sons, Christian and newborn son, Joe.

He has contributed to many great charities in the Western New York Community including Mercy Flight, Women's and Children's Hospital and the Kevin Guest House, just to name a few.

The "Ilio DiPaolo Humanitarian Award" will be given to Henry Gorino by Dennis DiPaolo, son of the late Ilio DiPaolo.

About Bob Koshinski
Bob Koshinski is a native of Niagara Falls, graduate of Niagara Wheatfield High School and the University of Dayton.

Bob was a member of the WKBW-TV sports department in the 1980's and became Sports Director in 1989 after the retirement of Rick Azar. Bob then joined the new Empire Sports Network in 1991 where he helped develop the network's popular programming. In 1998 Bob became VP/GM of Empire Sports as well as General Manager of FM sports radio station WNSA when it was acquired by Adelphia Communications in 2000. Bob remained in those positions until 2005 when Adelphia was sold.

As a multi-media and communication specialist Bob worked for Erie County Executive Joel Giambra, Senator William Stachowski and NCCC.

Bob returned to television in 2012 as VP/GM of the new independent Buffalo television station WBBZ-TV.

Bob now hosts a weekly sports program called "All Sports WNY" and created a popular web site by the same name www.allsportswny.com in 2011.

Bob has always been proud of both his Italian and polish heritage. In fact, Bob has been the organizer and chairman of the annual Rizzo Family (his mom's maiden name) reunion picnic for over twenty years.

Bob is Chairman of the Ilio DiPaolo Scholarship Committee, media board of the Greater Buffalo Sports Hall of Fame, Buffalo Broadcasters Association and Wrestling Teams of the Decade Committee. Bob and his wife Mary have three sons, Robert, Jacob and Daniel.
