David Mota Earns Promotion to High-A
Reliever Makes Six Snappers Promoted in 2013
BELOIT, WI - The Oakland Athletics have announced that relief pitcher David Mota has been promoted from the Beloit Snappers to the Advanced-A Stockton Ports.
Mota joined the Snappers at mid-season and provided a solid presence in the bullpen. In six games, he was 1-0 with a 1.86 ERA. In nine and two-thirds innings, Mota gave up only seven hits and struck out 10. This will be his second stint in Stockton this season. A native of El Seibo in the Dominican Republic, Mota signed with the Oakland organization as a non-drafted free agent on February 10, 2006.
Mota will join Ryan Dull, Tucker Healy, Michael Ynoa, Bruce Maxwell and Raul Alcantara, all of whom were sent to Stockton after beginning the year in Beloit.
