PAWTUCKET, RI - Five Lehigh Valley IronPigs posted multi-hit games as they cranked out 13 en route to a 10-0 win over the Pawtucket Red Sox Saturday night at McCoy Stadium.

Led by a 3-for-5 night from the recently recalled Derrick Mitchell and a three-RBI night from Cameron Rupp, the IronPigs (54-54) scored four runs in the first inning and never looked back en route to the shutout win where four pitchers tossed at least 1 1/3 innings.

In the first the IronPigs jumped on the board when Cody Overbeck hit a sacrifice fly with the bases loaded. Two batters late Mitchell singled to score Freddy Galvis, and two batters after that Rupp drove in a pair with a single for a 4-0 lead as the visitors sent nine men to the plate.

Lehigh Valley was then held at bay until the fourth inning, as Rupp's big night continued with a solo homer to right field. In the fifth the lead increased again as Galvis singled, advanced on a groundout and scored on Overbeck's single for a 6-0 advantage.

The onslaught then continued in the sixth inning as the 'Pigs put the game beyond doubt when Cody Asche stroked a three-run dinger to right field, his 12th of the season, to stake them to a 9-0 advantage. Then in the seventh Lehigh Valley would put the finishing touches on its offensive outburst, scoring when Josh Fields and Mitchell doubled back-to-back to lead off the frame.

Four IronPigs drove in multiple runs, while the first three hitters in the lineup (Leandro Castro, Galvis, Asche) each scored a pair. The squad hit a solid 6-for-13 with runners in scoring position while Rupp's three RBIs tied a Triple-A career high.

Mike MacDougal (2-2) earned the win in relief with 2 2/3 frames while striking out four, while Jay Johnson and Phillipe Aumont also had scoreless outings out of the bullpen. Lefty Adam Morgan started for the IronPigs and went the first three innings, allowing a hit and walking three. Fellow southpaw Chris Hernandez (3-8) absorbed the loss for Pawtucket (57-50), surrendering six runs on eight hits in five innings.

Game three of the four-game set is Sunday at 1:05 p.m. as RHP Ethan Martin (11-5, 4.35) goes for Lehigh Valley against Pawtucket righty Steven Wright (4-6, 4.25).
