Three Fireworks Nights and Reggy the Purple Dude Appearance Highlight Homestand
CURVE, Pa. -Back from a seven-game road trip the Altoona Curve return for an action-packed homestand that begins on Tuesday, July 30 versus the Binghamton Mets (AA-Mets) We will have three postgame fireworks shows, a pair of giveaways, and an appearance by Reggy the Purple Party Dude.
The first matchup on the homestand begins on Tuesday night when the Binghamton Mets make their final visit to Curve, Pa. in 2013 with a 7 p.m. first pitch. Postgame fireworks will follow the contest on Senior Night presented by Senior Life. It is also a Two-for-Tuesday presented by Atlantic Broadband. Fans can receive two-for-one offers on tickets, hot dogs, and small popcorns.
Wednesday night's game also begins with a 7 p.m. first pitch and is highlighted by a Light Switch Giveaway. The first 1,000 fans will receive an Altoona Curve light switch plate. It is a 4-Pack Wednesday presented by WALY 103.9. Fans can get four tickets, four hot dogs, and four regular 22 oz. sodas all for just $35.
Kids Run the Park Night also takes place on Wednesday. Members of the 2013 Galliker's Curve Kids' Club will be given the opportunity to perform various jobs around the ballpark. These jobs include ticket taking, broadcasting, and on-field promotions just to name a few. It is a Kids' Club Night at the ballpark on Wednesday as well. We ask members of the club to come to the game dressed in their superhero gear for the night's theme. Kids can run the bases following the game.
Thursday night's game gets underway at 7 p.m. as well with gates opening early at 5 p.m. for live music on the Rocky Gap Casino and Resort Entertainment deck featuring Cousin Mike. Thursday includes the third giveaway in the Curve Party Pack Series. The first 500 fans age 21 and over will receive a Koozie thanks to Redd's Apple Ale. Thirsty Thursday specials include $2 Miller Lite 16 oz. drafts and half-priced 22 oz. sodas thanks to Rocky 104.9.
Binghamton departs and gives way to Akron (AA-Indians) on Friday night. First pitch is slated for 7 p.m. with gates opening early at 5 p.m. this time for live music on the Rocky Gap Casino and Resort Entertainment Deck featuring Matt Wagner. Following the game fans can take in another one of our great postgame fireworks shows. It is also a T.G.I. Friday's Mug Club Night. The first 250 fans age 21 and over to exit the ballpark after the game has concluded will receive a T.G.I. Friday's Mug Club Mug. Head down to T.G.I. Friday's following the game for an extra innings party where two Altoona Curve players will be signing autographs for one hour.
Reggy, the Purple Party Dude will return to Curve, Pa. for Saturday night's contest with first pitch slated for 6 p.m. The Curve will continue their efforts from 2012's Curve, Pa. Blue Out Saturdays in an effort to raise awareness and funds for Child Abuse Pennsylvania. The Curve will wear special blue jersey tops that will be auctioned off during the game with the proceeds benefitting Prevent Child Abuse Pennsylvania. Saturday also marks the final Scout Night of the 2013 season. Scout troops will be honored before the game, and can camp out on the field following the game, a movie will be shown on the video board following the game for the campers.
The homestand wraps up with a 6 p.m. contest on Sunday night. Sunday will get going early with the Princess and Pirate party presented by Sheetz beginning at 4 p.m. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased by calling 814-943-8887. Boys and girls can take part in the annual Children's Miracle Network Princess and Pirate Party. Princesses can take part in hair stylings, make-up and other pampering, while Pirates will walk the plank, learn Piratese and look for lost treasure. All Princesses and Pirates are invited on the field before the start of the game against the Akron Aeros to introduce themselves to the crowd.

Prior to the final game of the series on Sunday, fans can have a catch on the field pregame from 5 p.m.-5:20 p.m. Kids can run the bases following the games on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday night.
