Round Rock Express and RBI Austin Present "Triple-A For A Day"
ROUND ROCK, Texas - The Round Rock Express' promotional staff is bringing their game experience to the RBI Austin Kid Pitch Championship on Saturday, August 3. The game will be played at Downs Mabson Field located at 2812 E. 12th St. in Austin. First pitch is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Pre-game activities will begin at 7:00 p.m.
The Express will be bringing out all the stops for this one, including their mascot, Spike, PA announcer, Derrick Grubbs, and their in-game promotional Party Patrol staff. The Express hopes to provide the same "good ol' fashioned fun" for the kids and fans of RBI Austin as experienced at Dell Diamond between innings. The in-game entertainment will include some fan favorites such as the dizzy bat race and The Great Texas Chicken Race.
The Express hopes this game will provide RBI Austin Kid Pitch athletes, their families and the community with the opportunity to watch baseball in a fun and unique setting they would normally not be able to experience. "We're excited to be able to offer a once-in-a-lifetime, big-league experience to the RBI athletes and their families" said Tim Jackson, Director of Community Relations for the Express. "What Founder and Director Matt Price and the RBI Austin team have formed and developed over the past few years has been truly amazing. From their mentor programs to their passion for the game of baseball, the impact they're making in Austin will be long lasting and we're happy to be a part of it."
The championship game will feature the 9 and 10-year-old age division. Admission to the game is free.
RBI Austin is a designated non-profit for the Express and is a Chasco Community Partner at Express games.
