Akron Aeros Statement Regarding The Ballpark Festival of Beers
(AKRON, OHIO) August 12, 2013 - With an eye on affordable family entertainment and the goal of bringing fun to Canal Park, the Akron Aeros announced today the cancellation of the Ballpark Festival of Beers, originally scheduled for Saturday, August 31.
"In an effort to keep our prices economical for all events, we made the decision to cancel this year's beer festival," said Akron Aeros General Manager Jim Pfander. "We want to produce affordable, first-class events while providing a great experience for all fans at Canal Park. With that in mind, we look forward to hosting special events such as the Ballpark Festival of Beers in future seasons."
The Aeros are the Double-A affiliate of the Cleveland Indians. In the 2012 season, the Aeros won the Eastern League Championship for the fourth time in team history.
